WORKSHOP: Mosaics with glass 10 – 4 p.m. PAKENHAM
$120 including some materials and lunch.
During this one day workshop you will work with an incredible variety of colours of cut glass. Kala & Dianne will teach you how to incorporate glass with interesting and natural materials into your mosaics. This will open up a whole new way of working and show you a huge range of materials that can be used in a mosaic. You are welcome to bring small items that are meaningful to you as well, that can be incorporated into your mosaic.
This workshop will cover the following:
Selecting the colours that suit your subject
How to place and adjust different glass in different ways and with appropriate tools
Glues and other technical know-how
Unique properties of glass and their relevance to our art
Inspirational ideas for unique works of art
There may not be time during this one-day format to complete an artwork, but you will either make a small sample or design and start an artwork. You can also take follow-up courses or take an online course if you want to continue this work under teachers Dianne and Kala.
